We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Educational Needs Teacher to join our team at TeacherActive. As a SEND Teacher, you will work with students who require additional support and accommodations to succeed in their educational journey.

About the Role:
  • Work with students with a range of special educational needs, including severe learning difficulties, profound and multiple learning difficulties, and autism.
  • Develop and implement individualized lesson plans to meet the unique needs of each student.
  • Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and other professionals to ensure a comprehensive and supportive learning environment.
  • Provide emotional support and guidance to students, helping them to build confidence and self-esteem.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and carers to ensure a consistent and supportive approach.
Requirements:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and 6 months of experience working with students with special educational needs.
  • A calm and caring demeanor, with the ability to adapt to changing situations.
  • Flexibility to cover classes at short notice, including last-minute absences.
  • Ability to plan and deliver engaging and interactive lessons, with a focus on student-centered learning.
  • Effective behavior management skills, with a focus on positive reinforcement and de-escalation techniques.
