About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Workshop Supervisor/Chargehand to join our team at Stagecoach Blairgowrie Depot.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor the daily running of the depot and all engineering staff.
  • Carry out repairs and diagnosis on vehicles as required.
  • Ensure compliance with all HS & E legislation and Stagecoach policies.
  • Guide other staff as required.
  • Allocate planned and unplanned work to engineering staff.
  • Manage labour over time in line with set authorization limits.
  • Update the engineering vehicle status board and daily garage log.
  • Liaise with the operations department to minimize lost mileage.
  • Manage vehicle cleaning, fuelling, oil checks, and parking.
  • Process vehicle defect cards in line with engineering standard operating procedures.
Requirements
  • Minimum level 3 NVQ standard or equivalent in a relevant Vehicle Repair subject.
  • Full conversance with the safe operation of workshop equipment.
  • Full PCV license.
