We are seeking a highly skilled Machine Learning Engineer to join our AI for Quantum team at Quantinuum. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, building, and implementing cutting-edge machine learning solutions to tackle the challenges of quantum computing.
Key Responsibilities- Develop Software Infrastructure: Design and develop software infrastructure to facilitate the application of machine learning methods to solve problems in the quantum computing stack.
- Experimentation and Analysis: Write code to enable the running and recording of large-scale experiments in improving the quantum computing stack, using existing machine learning libraries when appropriate.
- Experimentation and Analysis: Run experiments in improving the quantum computing stack.
- Education: Master's Degree or Ph.D. in Physics, Computer Science, Computational Chemistry, Applied Mathematics, or related engineering field or equivalent experience.
- Machine Learning Experience: Experience in using deep learning methods, such as large language models, reinforcement learning, as well as other machine learning methods, in a scientific context, and at large scale.
- Technical Skills: Familiarity with using high-performance compute clusters and multi-GPU servers, and commonly-used machine learning toolkits, such as PyTorch and TensorFlow.
- Quantum Computing Knowledge: Familiarity with quantum computing concepts, or a related field such as quantum many-body physics.
- Open-Source Contributions: Experience contributing to open-source software.
- Software Engineering: Strong background in software engineering, specifically experience in scientific software development.
