Quantum AI Research Scientist

At Quantinuum, we are pushing the boundaries of quantum computing and its applications in AI. As a Quantum AI Research Scientist, you will be part of a team that is exploring the intersection of quantum computing and machine learning. Your primary responsibility will be to research and develop new architectures for quantum AI and machine learning, leveraging the power of quantum computers to solve complex scientific problems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with quantum computing scientists and machine learning engineers to explore the advantage of using AI trained on data obtained from our quantum computers.
  • Research and develop new architectures for quantum AI and machine learning.
  • Conduct experiments in areas such as NLP to see if quantum computing can offer any advantages over their classical counterparts.
Requirements:
  • Master's Degree or Ph.D in Physics, Computer Science, Computational Chemistry, Applied Mathematics, or related engineering field or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in applied AI for scientific problems.
  • Familiarity with quantum computing.
  • Familiarity with the quantum machine learning literature and related quantum advantage results.
Desirable Skills:
  • Familiarity with quantum computing concepts, or a related field such as quantum many-body physics.
  • Experience in large-scale machine learning (large language models, reinforcement learning).
  • Experience leveraging high-performance computing (e.g. distributed multi-node, multi-GPU platforms).
