Estimated Salary

£60,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.

Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated individual with expertise in quantum information and/or computation theory. As a Quantum Algorithms Research Scientist, you will undertake theoretical and applied research on near-term quantum computing algorithms, applications, and enabling theoretical technologies. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting research on near-term quantum computing algorithms and applications.
  • Developing and implementing new algorithms and techniques.
  • Collaborating with a small team of full-time staff and affiliated PhD students.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A PhD (or soon to receive one) in quantum information, quantum computation theory, theoretical computer science, theoretical physics, or a closely related field.
  • Expertise in quantum information and/or computation theory.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
  • A strong publication track-record in relevant discipline.
