Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop software infrastructure to facilitate the application of machine learning methods to solve problems in the quantum computing stack.
  • Write code to enable the running and recording of large-scale experiments in improving the quantum computing stack, using existing machine learning libraries when appropriate.
  • Run experiments in improving the quantum computing stack.
Requirements:
  • A Master's Degree or Ph.D. in Physics, Computer Science, Computational Chemistry, Applied Mathematics, or a related engineering field, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in using deep learning methods, such as large language models, reinforcement learning, as well as other machine learning methods, in a scientific context, and at large scale.
  • Familiarity with using high-performance compute clusters and multi-GPU servers.
  • Familiarity with commonly-used machine learning toolkits, such as PyTorch and TensorFlow.
Desirable Skills:
  • Familiarity with quantum computing concepts, or a related field such as quantum many-body physics.
  • Experience contributing to open-source software.
  • A strong background in software engineering, specifically experience in scientific software development.
