Job Opportunity

The role of Emergency Call Handler is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic 24/7 contact centre environment, providing support for individuals affected by sexual assault and rape. As part of the Mountain Healthcare team, you will be working closely with professionals such as Police and Social Services to arrange forensic examinations at our Sexual Assault Referral Centres.

With excellent telephone and customer service skills, this role requires effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to multitask and work well under pressure. We are looking for a Part Time candidate, 20 hours per week, with a strong understanding of telephone triage and previous experience as a Call Handler.

The successful candidate will have a minimum of 3 GCSEs at grade C or above, and a passion for helping others. They will also be able to demonstrate flexibility in terms of location and working hours, with a commitment to ongoing training and development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide emotional support and guidance to individuals affected by sexual assault and rape
  • Work collaboratively with Police and Social Services to arrange forensic examinations
  • Effectively manage and prioritize workload, meeting performance targets and deadlines
  • Maintain accurate records and reports, adhering to confidentiality and data protection policies

Salary: £23,000 - £25,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
