Job Description

We are seeking a highly committed and professional Specialist Care Manager to contribute to the operational management of a specialist supported living service in Essex. Our service has been developed to meet the needs of individuals with complex needs, including mental health needs and behaviours which challenge. As some service users have forensic histories, there will be a requirement for positive and robust risk management.

The bespoke service supports 10 people in an attractive CQC Registered Supported Living Scheme, commissioned as part of the Transforming Care Programme in Essex. The accommodation is designed around the unique needs of each individual.

About Your Role
  • Assist the Area Manager and senior team to ensure the service meets all CQC standards and contract requirements.
  • Ensure the service works in a cohesive and coordinated manner and that service users experience fully integrated care, support, and housing.
  • Deliver personalized care and support in accordance with agreed care plans, enabling service users to enjoy wellbeing, quality of life, and community connections.

Your work will involve a mixture of shifts on the rota and management days, working across the entire week, including evenings and weekends.

What We Require
  • A minimum of two years' managerial experience and prior experience supporting individuals with learning disabilities and/or autism who have complex needs.
  • Strong values, emotional intelligence, and good problem-solving skills.
  • The ability to work collaboratively to achieve positive outcomes.
  • Relevant experience in implementing Positive Behavioral Support and positive risk management approaches.
  • Excellent assessment, support planning, and report writing skills.
