Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Construction Project Manager to lead our building operations commercially and ensure that all projects are delivered cost-effectively and within budget.

This role involves managing the commercial aspects of construction projects, working closely with the project lead and site team to deliver projects in a collaborative manner. Key Responsibilities include:

  1. Pre-Contract:
  1. Support the estimating department with tender preparation
  1. Prepare and manage supply chain procurement programmes in line with the construction programme
  2. Prepare and issue tender documents to the company standard
  3. Analyse tender returns and provide recommendations for trade appointments
  4. Place orders with the supply chain to the company standard
  5. Prepare and issue applications for payment and agree interim valuations
  6. Identify, quantify, value, and agree contract variations
  7. Manage supply chain accounts to the company standard
  8. Prepare and manage Value Cost Reconciliation for monthly project financial reporting
  9. Prepare and manage Project Forecast to the company standard
  10. Prepare and maintain internal and external project cash flow forecasts
  11. Prepare and agree internal and external Final Accounts to the company standard
  12. Regularly contribute data for key performance indicators and project benchmarking

The ideal candidate will have the ability to run their own projects, progress their experience, and gain membership of a professional body. With attention to detail and a willingness to learn new skills, they will be invited to join the Work Based Learning and Development Programme after completing probation.

Requirements:

  • A creative and innovative approach to problem-solving
  • Good commercial awareness, written and verbal communication skills
  • Good attention to detail
  • IT skills and the ability to learn new software packages

Salary Range: £55,000 - £70,000 per annum, depending on experience
