Job Description

Job Title: Regional Market Development Manager

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Regional Market Development Manager to lead our team in developing and executing market strategies that drive business growth and revenue objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement market strategies that align with the company's global objectives
  • Lead and develop a team of Regional Market Developers to deliver on growth and revenue objectives
  • Establish and drive a culture of partnership, teamwork, and positivity to deliver rapid wins in a dynamic market
  • Develop efficiencies and effectiveness across the team and with the wider group of contacts and partners
  • Mentor and develop team members to achieve their full potential and aid them in progressing in their careers at Thermo Fisher
  • Use detailed analysis and regular reporting of regional business performance to determine appropriate actions
  • Manage regular marketing performance reporting to regional and global partners
  • Set a regional strategy with the RMDs to define, plan, and implement product launches, price actions, upgrades, and obsolescence of existing products
  • Advocate for customer-focused marketing activities, working across matrix structures, and enabling cross-BU and cross-division marketing campaigns and activities
  • Develop and implement customer and market research programs
  • Maintain knowledge of trends and competitive activity relevant to the product lines and markets served/targeted
  • Oversee OpEx forecasting and hold overall responsibility for the budget
  • Work closely with commercial teams and platforms teams to deliver regional revenue targets

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing or Life Sciences, or equivalent experience
  • Proven track record in marketing roles, preferably in the life sciences industry, with at least 5 years of experience
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to make data-driven decisions
  • Excellent project management, organization, and prioritization skills
  • Ability to work at a fast pace and effectively prioritize tasks to manage a high workload
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Experience in people leadership will be considered advantageous
