At Pearson, we are seeking a highly skilled Spanish Examiner to join our team of experts in marking candidates' responses for the International Advanced Level Spanish examination.

As a Spanish Examiner, you will be responsible for ensuring the overall standards of marking are maintained, submitting samples to your Team Leader at designated times, and adhering to milestones for marking.

Key responsibilities include:

  • To mark accurately and consistently to ensure overall standards are maintained
  • To submit samples to your Team Leader at designated times
  • To ensure milestones for marking are adhered to
  • To ensure all administration is completed as specified

Requirements include:

  • One academic year's worth of teaching experience within the last 8 years, within the relevant qualification subject, and since qualifying as a teacher
  • A degree or equivalent
  • Qualification as a teacher

Competencies required include:

  • The ability to work well under pressure
  • The ability to meet deadlines
  • A high level of subject knowledge in order to apply the mark scheme

About the role:

The marking period is between May and July, and the training required to mark as an examiner will take place between May and June.
