We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Band 5 Community Nurse to join our team in the 5-19 service. The successful candidate will have a passion for promoting public health and supporting children, young people, and their families to adopt healthy lifestyles.
This is a development opportunity for those wishing to increase their skills and progress their career in Children's Community Services. The role involves supporting the delivery of bespoke public health sessions in schools addressing identified high impact areas, care planning for children with specific health needs, and providing advice and support to parents regarding physical and emotional health needs of their child.
The successful candidate will be an integral member of the 5-19 team, working alongside other Community Public Health Staff Nurses in the delivery of the Healthy Child Programme. They will have the ability to communicate effectively at a variety of levels, work on own and as part of a team, influence and motivate others, plan and organisational skills, and knowledge of national policies and procedures relevant to public health and service user groups.
