About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Group Health and Safety Lead to join our team at Jenkins Shipping. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for driving safety initiatives across multiple sites across the UK and Ireland.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and mentor teams to enhance health and safety capabilities and build a strong safety culture.
- Improve safety awareness across all levels of the business and demonstrate your ability to influence and motivate.
- Engage with contractors, regulators, and agencies to represent Jenkins and expand your network.
- Develop and implement effective safety policies and procedures to ensure compliance with health and safety legislation.
- Conduct regular site visits to monitor safety performance and provide guidance and support to site teams.
Requirements:
- Experience in logistics, warehousing, distribution, or shipping.
- Professional Qualifications: NEBOSH Diploma or working towards it, and IOSH membership are a plus but not required.
- A strong understanding of health and safety legislation.
- A passionate and proactive approach to health and safety.
