Project Four Safety Solutions Ltd. is seeking a knowledgeable and experienced CDM Principal Designer to join our team. As a CDM Principal Designer, you will play a pivotal role in managing health and safety risks throughout the design phase of construction projects, fostering a culture of safety and collaboration among all stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design Coordination: Lead and coordinate the design process, ensuring compliance with CDM Regulations and the Building Safety Act.
  • Risk Management: Identify, assess, and manage health and safety risks throughout the design stages, providing solutions to mitigate these risks.
  • Work with Clients: Work closely with clients to understand their requirements and ensure that health and safety considerations are integrated into project delivery.
  • Consultation and Collaboration: Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other design team members to create safe and effective designs.
  • Record Keeping: Prepare and maintain accurate records, including pre-construction information, design risk assessments, and health and safety files.
  • Training and Guidance: Provide training and guidance to design teams on CDM Regulations and best practices in health and safety.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Communicate effectively with all stakeholders, including contractors and clients, to promote a culture of safety.
Requirements:
  • Qualifications: Degree in architecture, engineering, or a related field; NEBOSH, IOSH.
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in a CDM Principal Designer role or similar, with a proven track record of managing health and safety in construction projects.
  • Comprehensive Understanding: Comprehensive understanding of the CDM Regulations, Building Safety Act, and other relevant legislation.
  • Risk Assessment Tools: Proficient in risk assessment and management tools.
