Job Summary

You will be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness in designated areas, emphasizing quality control, health and safety, and exceeding client expectations.

  • Clean floors using various techniques including sweeping, scrubbing, or vacuuming.
  • Dry/wet mop and polish hard surface floors to maintain their appearance and extend their lifespan.
  • Strip and finish hard surface floors manually or with power equipment to restore their original look.
  • Clean glass areas that require ladders, scaffolding, or extension equipment to reach safely.
  • Maintain washroom floors by stripping and finishing them as needed.
  • Loading and unloading supplies and replenishing cleaning solutions are essential tasks.
  • Follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment to avoid any risks.
  • Notify managers about major repairs or additions to building operating systems promptly.
  • Remove snow and debris from sidewalks, driveways, or parking areas during winter months.

Requirements
  1. Experience in performing various cleaning activities in institutionalized environments is required.
  2. Familiarity with floor maintenance machines and cleaning equipment is essential.
  3. Ability to work weekends, holidays, and shifts as assigned is necessary.
  4. Capacity to follow verbal and written instructions and prepare records accurately is crucial.

Licenses and Accreditation
  1. Meeting security clearance requirements is mandatory.
  2. Holding a valid Class G license is also required.

BGIS Sustainable Cleaning Solutions offers a competitive salary of $40,000 - $55,000 per year.
