About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our team at WAGAMAMA LIMITED. As a key member of our kitchen management team, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our back-of-house operations, ensuring the highest standards of quality, safety, and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the kitchen management team in maintaining the highest standards of food quality, presentation, and safety.
  • Manage inventory, labor, and rotas to optimize kitchen operations and minimize waste.
  • Develop and grow junior chefs, providing guidance, training, and mentorship to ensure they meet WAGAMAMA LIMITED's standards.
  • Collaborate with the kitchen management team to implement new menu items, recipes, and cooking techniques.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, food safety standards, and company policies.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in managing or supervising a kitchen team, with a strong track record of positive behaviors and actions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead and motivate a team.
  • Strong knowledge of kitchen operations, including inventory management, labor scheduling, and rotas.
  • Experience in managing food safety, health and safety, and quality control.
