Salary: £35,000 - £45,000 per annum

Job Description:

The Mortgage Adviser will provide a range of services to HSBC customers supporting key life events such as buying a first home and home improvements. This service is offered in the branch location.

The Mortgage Adviser will establish and grow our mortgage and protection business and will provide a professional advice service to both new and existing customers. Key to the role is the delivery of high quality, customer driven service by identifying customer needs for mortgage and mortgage related protection products and provide advice and services to meet those needs.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Provision of an agile and flexible service to customers to meet their needs within their channel of choice.
  • Listening to customers to identify and understand their current and future mortgage and protection needs, helping them to achieve a mortgage package that is fully tailored to their individual needs.
  • Recognising the wider financial planning needs of individual customers and making referrals to other areas of the bank, where their wider needs can be met.
  • Proactively developing and strengthening customer relationships and, in doing so, generating new business responsibly.
  • Application of the principles of Treating Customers Fairly to everything done.
  • Development and building effective working relationships with key stakeholders within and outside of the immediate business area.
