As a Freight Train Driver at Colas Rail, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of freight trains. You will undertake train driving duties in accordance with laid down procedures, ensuring the safety of the line and all employees and public that may be affected by the operation of trains.

You will also be responsible for undertaking locomotive preparation and disposal duties, fueling locomotives when required, and reporting locomotive and train defects in accordance with the Rulebook and Company Procedures.

","Key Skills and Qualifications":"

Appropriate traction knowledge, freight rules and regulations, basic wagon knowledge, and Personal Track Safety are essential for this role. It would be advantageous if the job holder had current route knowledge for the LNE Region.

Behavioural skills such as Engage and Care, Execute and Share, and Energy and Dare are also highly valued.
