About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Technical Lead to join our Structures Team at Babcock International Group.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver complex technical workstreams to meet customer needs.
  • Solve in-service structural issues and defects, and develop new technical capabilities.
  • Represent the Structures Engineering Team at customer meetings, working groups, and conferences.
  • Sustain and grow capabilities through training and development.

Requirements

  • Experienced engineer with a marine structures background, ideally with submarine-specific knowledge.
  • Experience in management and delivery of technical outputs, coordinating and working with multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Scoping and quality assurance of technical projects.
  • Experience of leading project teams to successful delivery.
  • Evidence of coaching more junior engineers.

Qualifications

  • Degree qualified in a STEM discipline (or equivalent experience).
  • Chartered or Incorporated Engineer Status with the UK Engineering Council and holds full membership of a relevant engineering institute (or willingness to work towards chartership within first 6 months of employment).

Security Clearance

The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
