Country Risk Analyst Role at Fitch Group

Fitch Group, Inc. is seeking a Country Risk Analyst to join its team in London.

The successful candidate will have a strong academic background in finance, economics or a related field and a passion for understanding financial markets and macroeconomic principles.

Salary: £35,000 - £45,000 per annum, depending on experience.

Job Description:

We are looking for an analytical thinker who can contribute to our research team by producing insightful articles and reports on country risk assessments and forecasts.

You will work closely with experienced analysts to develop your skills and knowledge in macroeconomics, commodity price forecasting, financial markets and industry-specific analysis.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct in-depth research on country risk and produce high-quality reports and articles.
  • Develop and maintain a portfolio of countries, providing regular updates and analysis.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across the globe to ensure holistic analysis and cutting-edge insights.
  • Help shape the company's global industry/country risk views and integrate views on the global/regional economy and individual sectors.
  • Identify key sector developments and provide value-added multi-asset investment themes.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Strong academic record in finance, economics or a related field.
  • Possession of basic knowledge of R and/or Python programming languages is advantageous.
  • Experience working with macroeconomic data and economic forecasting methodologies is desirable.
