Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Java Developer to join our team. As a Senior Java Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining Java-based applications. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features, and collaborate with various teams to integrate third-party applications and APIs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Application Development: Design, develop, and maintain Java-based applications that meet the requirements of our clients.
  • System Integration: Work closely with various teams to integrate third-party applications and APIs, ensuring seamless communication and data exchange.
  • Performance Optimization: Identify bottlenecks and improve application performance, ensuring that our solutions meet the highest standards of quality and efficiency.
  • Code Reviews and Mentorship: Conduct code reviews and provide guidance to junior developers, ensuring that our codebase remains clean, maintainable, and scalable.
  • Technical Documentation: Create and maintain technical documentation for new and existing applications, ensuring that our knowledge and expertise are well-documented and easily accessible.
  • Troubleshooting: Investigate and resolve technical issues across development, testing, and production environments, ensuring that our solutions are reliable and stable.
Required Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in Java development, with a strong focus on the BFSI sector.
Technical Skills
  • We are looking for a candidate with a strong background in Java development, with a solid understanding of Core Java concepts and design patterns.
  • Experience with Spring Framework (Spring Boot, Spring MVC, etc.) and RESTful APIs and web services is highly desirable.
  • RDBMS experience, particularly with DB2, is also highly desirable.
  • Understanding of Agile methodologies and experience with UNIX environment working is a plus.
Soft Skills
  • Strong problem-solving skills and excellent communication and teamwork abilities are essential for this role.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team, with a strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of financial markets and experience with UI skills (HTML5/JavaScript/AngularJS/React) is a plus.
  • Graph database experience and Big data technology stack is also a plus.
