Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Credit Controller to join our team at WJ Group Infrastructure. As a Credit Controller, you will be responsible for proactively monitoring and contacting customers to guide and support them in making payments on time.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and prioritise customer balance follow up
  • Contact customers in writing, by telephone or meet in person to understand and agree payment dates
  • Escalate any disputes and/or material payment delays to WJ contract owners
  • Monitor and manage the dispute resolution process
  • Maintain accurate notes within our bespoke system, IFS, on all customer and operations interactions associated with progressing an invoice to payment
  • Prepare and distribute standard reports.
  • Allocate cash receipts against customer accounts

Requirements:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • A good understanding of accounting fundamentals
  • Great attention to detail
  • IT Literacy, including learning and adapting to bespoke systems
  • Intermediate Excel skills

Additional Information: This role may require visits to other WJ depots or customer sites on a periodic basis, as such you should be willing on occasion to travel.
