We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced midwife to join our Community Midwifery team at University Hospitals of Morecambe Bay NHS Foundation Trust. As a Band 6 Community Midwife, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality, woman-centered maternity care in the community setting.

About Us

University Hospitals of Morecambe Bay NHS Foundation Trust operates from three main hospitals: Furness General Hospital, Royal Lancaster Infirmary, and Westmorland General Hospital. Our community services cover a range of specialties, including maternity care, and are provided in people's homes, community centers, clinics, GP practices, community hospitals, and main hospitals.

Key Responsibilities
  • To work within the community midwifery team and maintain good relationships with other team members to ensure women receive optimal care
  • To provide effective leadership and optimize teaching opportunities for all grades of staff
  • To give education to women and their families and necessary care, advice, and supervision throughout the pregnancy continuum
  • To facilitate the learning of student midwives and medical students
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Registered Midwife qualification
  • Evidence of ongoing professional development
  • Current driving license

The estimated salary for this position is £40,000 - £50,000 per annum, based on experience.
