Royal Cornwall Hospitals NHS Trust is seeking a skilled Neonatal Intensive Care Nurse to join our team. As a member of our neonatal unit, you will provide high-quality care to premature and sick newborns.
The ideal candidate will have strong clinical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a passion for delivering family-centered care. If you are motivated to develop your career in neonatology and thrive in a supportive environment, we encourage you to apply.
About the Role
We offer a range of benefits, including competitive salary (estimated £33,000-£43,000 per annum), comprehensive training programs, and opportunities for professional growth. Our state-of-the-art neonatal unit has 20 beds and provides a wide range of services, from intensive care to transitional care. We also have a dedicated simulation team and run regular simulation exercises with multidisciplinary team involvement.
Main Responsibilities
As a Neonatal Intensive Care Nurse, you will be responsible for providing holistic family-centered care to premature and sick newborns. This includes assessing patient needs, developing individualized care plans, and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes. You will also work closely with our community neonatal outreach team to support families in preparation for discharge and promote a progressive attitude to the continual improvement of patient care through research and evidence-based practice.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you must hold a current NMC qualification, have experience working on a neonatal unit or in a related field, and possess strong transferable clinical skills.
