Ophthalmology Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Ophthalmologist to join our team at Royal Devon University Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive ophthalmology services for patients across North Devon, working closely with our existing team of seven consultants and associate specialists.
Main ResponsibilitiesThe successful applicant will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, conducting thorough examinations, and developing treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs. They will also contribute to the development of our ophthalmology department, participating in multidisciplinary team meetings and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care delivery.
Person SpecificationWe are looking for a Consultant Ophthalmologist with a strong background in medical retina, glaucoma, uveitis, and paediatrics. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. They will also be committed to delivering high-quality patient care, with a focus on patient safety and well-being.
