Job Title: Consultant in Ophthalmology

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant in Ophthalmology to join our team at Royal Devon University Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our department, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive ophthalmology services to patients across North Devon.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Provide high-quality ophthalmology care to patients, including medical and surgical treatments.
  • Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of departmental policies and procedures.
  • Contribute to the training and education of junior staff members.
  • Engage in research and quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes.
Requirements:
  • Eligibility to work in the UK.
  • Registration with the General Medical Council (GMC).
  • Experience in ophthalmology, preferably with a sub-specialty interest in medical retina, glaucoma, uveitis, or paediatrics.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
