Job Title: HSE Director

About the Role:
  We are seeking an experienced HSE Director to lead our health, safety, and environmental efforts across two manufacturing facilities in Milton Keynes and Tipton. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of HSE management systems, environmental impact assessments, and initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Policy Implementation: Ensure health, safety, and environmental policies align with company standards and regulations.
  • Safety Culture: Foster a strong safety culture among factory teams and embed compliance into daily processes.
  • Audit Management: Oversee customer and regulatory audits by managing documentation, procedures, and certification.
  • Incident Management: Investigate workplace incidents, accidents, and near misses, implementing corrective measures to prevent recurrence.
  • Training Development: Create and deliver comprehensive training programs on HSE policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Risk Assessment: Conduct regular risk assessments, identifying potential hazards and assessing the effectiveness of safety measures.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with leadership, management, and employees on all HSE-related matters.

Requirements:
  • Qualifications: NEBOSH certification (or equivalent), with additional environmental qualifications such as IEMA highly desirable.
  • Experience: At least 5 years' HSE experience within food manufacturing environment.
  • Expertise: Strong understanding of HSE management systems, environmental impact assessments, and initiatives.
  • Skills: Excellent communicator with the ability to influence and collaborate across all levels of the organization.

Benefits:
  • Salary: £65,000 per annum
  • Bonus: Annual STI bonus of 16%
  • Car allowance: Car allowance £620 a month plus fuel card

The estimated salary for this role is £65,000 per annum, including a car allowance and bonus. As this position involves regular travel between two key manufacturing sites, you should be comfortable with frequent travel during the working week.
