Our client, an established construction form have an urgent requirement for a permanent **Health and Safety Advisor**.

**Reporting to the HSE Director you will be responsible for**:

- Monitoring and ensuring that individual contracts/projects are established with the correct procedures to enable compliance with company and client requirements
- Liaison with project/site managers involved within each work location to ensure that adequate health, safety and environmental procedures are identified and established with each contract/project
- Liaise with client safety representatives to ensure that client requirements are taken into consideration
- Monitoring the health, safety and environmental compliance at projects by means of regular inspections
- Conducting formal audits of health, safety and environmental management systems
- Actively promote health safety and environmental issues
- Advise the project team on all health and safety issues
- Carry out site based HSE training as directed by the HSEQ Director
- Carry out audits
- Provide weekly reports to directors
- Conduct accident investigations
- Develop and deliver campaigns.

**To be considered for this role you will need**:

- Minimum of 2 years relevant experience
- Exceptional Customer Service skills
- Ability to remain calm under pressure
- Flexibility to work out of hours when necessary
- Ability to drive projects through to a high standard

You should also have excellent presentation skills and an in depth knowledge of Health and Safety requirements.

**Qualifications required**:

- HSE qualification (IOSH, NEBOSH)
- Educated to degree level or British Safety Council (BSC) Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety.

Hours: 42.5 hours per week, some flexibility required for start and finish times.

**Salary**: £59,000 - £60,000 per annum.
