The Widener University School of Nursing is seeking a dedicated faculty member to join our team in a full-time, 10-month position with clinical expertise in Psych/Mental Health Nursing. As a member of our faculty, you will be responsible for designing and delivering evidence-based teaching strategies for undergraduate nursing curricula, collaborating with colleagues to develop and review curricula, and engaging in scholarly productivity to contribute to the advancement of nursing knowledge.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach undergraduate nursing courses, including those in Psych/Mental Health Nursing
  • Develop and implement curricula to ensure compliance with accreditation and national standards
  • Engage in scholarly productivity, including research and publication
  • Mentor and advise students
  • Participate in student recruitment and retention efforts
  • Contribute to the creation of an inclusive and supportive learning environment

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in Nursing
  • Current Multistate Compact License as a Registered Nurse or Pennsylvania RN licensure
  • Three years of academic teaching experience
  • A minimum of three years of practice as a registered nurse in Psych/Mental Health Nursing
  • Demonstrated excellence in communication and collaboration

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Earned Research Doctorate for tenure-track or Practice Doctorate for clinical track
  • Certification in Psych/Mental Health Nursing
  • Certification as a Psych/Mental Health Advance Practice Nurse
  • Certification as a Nurse Educator (CNE)
