Faculty Position Overview

The Widener University School of Nursing is seeking a dynamic faculty member to join its esteemed community. As a faculty member, you will be responsible for designing and delivering evidence-based teaching strategies for undergraduate nursing curricula, collaborating with colleagues to develop and review curricula, and engaging in scholarly productivity to contribute to the advancement of nursing knowledge.

Essential Duties:

  • Teach undergraduate nursing courses, develop curriculum, and mentor students
  • Contribute to the development of academic programs and services
  • Engage in scholarly productivity, including research and publication
  • Participate in service activities, including committee work and professional organizations

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in Nursing
  • Current Multistate Compact License as a Registered Nurse or Pennsylvania RN licensure (or US RN licensure and eligibility for licensure in Pennsylvania)
  • Three years of academic teaching experience (can include clinical teaching)
  • A minimum of three (3) years of practice as a registered nurse in Psych/Mental Health Nursing
  • Demonstrated excellence in communication and collaboration
