Faculty Position

We are seeking an exceptional Physical Therapy Faculty Member to join our Institute for Physical Therapy Education at Widener University. This role offers a unique opportunity for a talented physiotherapist to contribute to the development of future healthcare professionals.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching courses in the DPT program, collaborating with the Program Director, and ensuring that courses and syllabi are current and available to all students. They will also engage in scholarship and service activities, contributing to the growth and success of our students and institution.

Key Responsibilities
  • Course Development and Teaching: Develop and teach courses in the DPT program, working collaboratively with the Program Director.
  • Curriculum Development: Participate in curriculum development to create an inclusive and effective learning environment.
  • Scholarly Work: Engage in individual and collaborative scholarly work related to area of interest on an ongoing basis, promoting excellence in education and clinical practice.
  • Service and Leadership: Participate in university, college, and institute committees and faculty meetings, as well as university academic events as specified in the faculty handbook.
Qualifications
  • Earned degree in physical therapy (e.g., PhD, EdD, DSc) from an accredited college or university.
  • Minimum of 3 years (5 or more years preferred) teaching experience in physical therapy education settings.
  • Evidence of professional development in the areas of teaching and learning.
  • Knowledge around working with an interprofessional healthcare team.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and written and oral communication abilities.

Estimated Salary: $150,000 - $200,000 per annum, commensurate with experience.
