Job Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Social Worker to join our Integrated Mental Health Service as an Advanced Practitioner Social Worker. This is a full-time, permanent position within one of our community mental health teams (CMHTs) covering Rochdale.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as a lead for social care in the CMHT, providing leadership and supervision to social workers, support workers, and support planners in the team.
  • Support personalised commissioning of services to meet individual complex mental health needs.
  • Provide expertise in social care interventions and secondary mental health care pathways.
  • Work in a formal supervisory capacity, supporting the development of team members.

Requirements:

  • Qualified social worker with experience in adult social care/mental health settings.
  • Registered with Social Work England.
  • Either an AMHP qualification, on an AMHP training pathway, or willing to train as an AMHP.
  • Either a qualified Best Interest Assessor or willing to train as a BIA.
