Job Opportunity: Advanced Practitioner Social Worker

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Advanced Practitioner Social Worker to join our Integrated Mental Health Service as a lead for social care in the Community Mental Health Team.

The successful candidate will provide leadership and supervision to social workers, support workers, and support planners in the team, including supporting personalized commissioning of services to meet individual complex mental health needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership and supervision to social workers, support workers, and support planners in the team.
  • Support personalized commissioning of services to meet individual complex mental health needs.
  • Work in a formal supervisory capacity and have a working knowledge and understanding of mental health conditions, secondary mental health care pathways, social care interventions.
  • Be able to converse at ease with the members of the public and provide advice in accurate spoken English.

Requirements:

  • Qualified social worker registered with Social Work England.
  • Experience of working in an adult social care/mental health setting and a good working knowledge of relevant legislation and procedural frameworks related to the Mental Health Act 1983 (as amended 2007), Care Act 2014, Mental Capacity Act 2005, and Safeguarding work.
  • Significant experience working with individuals with severe mental health needs, managing complex risk, and making decisions in a pressurized environment.
  • Knowledge and skills of working in a supervisory capacity, working with a wide range of partners, and a working knowledge of quality assurance frameworks and measures.
