Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Advanced Practitioner Social Worker to join our Integrated Mental Health Service as a lead for social care in the Community Mental Health Team.

The successful candidate will provide leadership and supervision to social workers, support workers, and support planners in the team, including supporting personalized commissioning of services to meet individual complex mental health needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide leadership and supervision to social workers, support workers, and support planners in the team
  • Support personalized commissioning of services to meet individual complex mental health needs
  • Work in a supervisory capacity, working with a wide range of partners and a working knowledge of quality assurance frameworks and measures
  • Manage complex risk and make decisions in a pressurized environment
  • Support the AMHP rota and in the CMHT where use of the Mental Health Act is being considered
Requirements
  • Qualified social worker
  • Registered with Social Work England
  • Either have an AMHP qualification and practicing as an AMHP, be on an AMHP training pathway, or be willing to train as an AMHP
  • Either be a qualified Best Interest Assessor or be willing to train as a BIA
