The Electrical Team Leader Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join the LIBERTY Steel Group team as an Electrical Team Leader. As a key member of the Electrical Team, you will play a vital role in maintaining the reliability and efficiency of our industrial systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of skilled technicians in all aspects of the workplace, ensuring a safe and productive working environment.
  • Plan and coordinate maintenance activities to minimize downtime and optimize production.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve performance and reliability across the site.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure effective communication and problem-solving.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and procedures.
  • Identify and implement opportunities for improvement, driving a culture of innovation and excellence.
  • Provide training and development opportunities for team members to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  • Contribute to the development of technical and safety training programs.

Requirements:

  • A recognized engineering apprenticeship (HNC or equivalent) and significant experience in industrial systems.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to methodically fault-find issues to root cause and front-line rectification.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Experience of working under permit systems or knowledge of how permit systems operate.
  • A customer-focused attitude with an understanding of prioritization with current resources.

The Working Pattern:

  • This role requires weekend work, with days off in the week.
