Product Compliance Specialist

LeMieux is seeking a highly skilled Product Compliance Specialist to join their team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the company's products meet regulatory standards and are safe for use by customers.

This is a challenging opportunity for a compliance professional to make a real impact on the company's success. You will work closely with various functions to inform and deliver training programs for staff on compliance requirements and best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and interpret relevant regulations and standards for all product areas.
  • Ensure all products comply with applicable safety standards, including ASTM, EN71, CPSIA, and REACH.
  • Keep abreast of changes in compliance regulations and update internal policies and stakeholders accordingly.

Product Testing & Certification:

  • Coordinate product testing with third-party laboratories.
  • Work with the Technologist and supplier to understand the LeMieux testing requirements and action accordingly.
  • Along with the relevant technologist, review test reports and certifications to ensure compliance, with specific attention to labelling review and legal requirements.

Supplier Management:

  • Evaluate and approve suppliers based on their ability to meet compliance standards.
  • Conduct regular audits of suppliers to ensure ongoing compliance.
  • Work with suppliers to resolve compliance issues and implement corrective actions.

Internal Training and Communication:

  • Work closely with various functions to inform and deliver training programs for staff on compliance requirements and best practices.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for compliance-related inquiries.
  • Prepare and present compliance reports to senior management.
