Associate Director – Estate Management and Valuation

South West Norse, a leading property consultancy, is seeking a highly skilled Associate Director to lead their Estate Management and Valuation team. This role offers a competitive salary, a comprehensive rewards package, and additional benefits such as a cycle to work scheme.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Lead and manage a team of 10, consisting of 9 professional surveyors and 1 graduate surveyor, to deliver exceptional estate management and valuation services.
  2. Handle a broad range of General Practice (GP) Estate Management tasks, including Landlord & Tenant (L&T) matters, asset valuation, leasing, disposals, and compulsory purchase orders (CPO).
  3. Support senior management in overseeing property and professional technical staff, ensuring seamless delivery of services.
  4. Assist the Director of Estates and Valuation with marketing, business development, and the preparation of tenders and fee proposals.
  5. Provide inspirational leadership and ensure effective day-to-day management and robust performance of the team.

We are looking for a motivated and inspirational General Practice Surveyor with significant experience in estate management and valuation, ideally within the private or public sector. You should have a proven track record in team leadership and management. Ideally, a RICS Registered Valuer with experience in delivering Local Authority Asset Valuations in accordance with RICS, CIPFA, and IFRS standards.

Required Qualifications:
  1. Knowledge and experience of the Law of Compulsory Purchase, the Land Compensation Act, and land acquisition through negotiation or compulsory purchase.
  2. Excellent team leadership and management skills.
  3. Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to engage and negotiate at all levels.
