Shorterm Group is recruiting an experienced Chemical Process Compliance Officer to support our manufacturing operations in Gloucester. This is an exciting opportunity to join our HS&E team and contribute to the safe management of chemicals within our facility.

About the Role

The ideal candidate will possess at least 2 years of experience in undertaking COSHH assessments in a high hazard environment and have a solid understanding of industrial chemistry, including electroplating.

Key Accountabilities
  • Develop and maintain accurate COSHH assessments for chemicals used in our manufacturing processes.
  • Collaborate with HS&E Advisors to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
  • Maintain records of COSHH assessments, operational controls, and mitigation actions in our software system.
  • Support the identification and implementation of effective PPE solutions for employees working with chemicals.
Essential Skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with colleagues and stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Compensation Package

We offer a salary range of £35,000 - £45,000 per annum, commensurate with experience.
