Associate & Principal Mechanical Design Engineer

SDS Engineering is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Associate and Principal Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for leading design projects and managing internal engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement mechanical building services designs
  2. Lead and manage internal engineering teams to deliver projects on time and within budget
  3. Provide commercial, financial, and contractual expertise in a consulting practice
  4. Represent the company in client and multi-disciplinary design team meetings
  5. Utilize Revit, Cymap, or Hevacomp software to design and develop mechanical systems
  6. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver projects that meet client needs
  7. Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders

Requirements:

  • Relevant degree in mechanical engineering or a related field
  • Chartered Engineer (CEng) or Incorporated Engineer (IEng) status
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in mechanical design and engineering
  • Strong commercial, financial, and contractual understanding
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
