Job Title: Security Officer III Job Summary: Brightpoint Community College is seeking a Security Officer III to provide security services for our campus. The successful candidate will be responsible for enforcing college, local, and state rules and regulations, inspecting assigned areas, recording incidents, securing buildings, and monitoring visitor access. Responsibilities: * Enforce college, local, and state rules and regulations * Inspect assigned areas * Record incidents * Secure buildings * Monitor visitor access Requirements: * Considerable experience in a security or law enforcement environment * Campus Security Officer Certification or ability to obtain within 180 days * Valid Virginia driver's license and satisfactory driving record * Moderate lifting and extensive walking required * Ability to maintain a positive, productive, cooperative attitude and serve as a team player Preferred Qualifications: * Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel Working Conditions: * Work flexible schedules, including weekends, day, evening, and night shifts * Successful completion and passing of a criminal background check required About Brightpoint Community College: Brightpoint Community College is a two-year, public institution of higher education and the third largest of the 23 community colleges in Virginia.
