Key Responsibilities:
- Uphold institutional, local, and state regulations
- Conduct inspections of designated areas and document occurrences
- Ensure the security of facilities and oversee visitor access
- Carry out foot and vehicle patrols, monitor surveillance systems, and respond to urgent situations
- Provide security support during special functions
Essential Qualifications:
- Significant experience in a security or law enforcement capacity
- Certification as a Campus Security Officer or the ability to obtain it within a specified timeframe
- Possession of a valid Virginia driver's license with a clean driving record
- Flexibility to work varied schedules, including weekends and evenings
- Successful completion of a background investigation
Desirable Qualifications:
- Familiarity with Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel
