Security Officer III

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Security Officer III to join our team at Brightpoint Community College. As a Security Officer III, you will be responsible for enforcing college, local, and state rules and regulations, inspecting assigned areas, recording incidents, securing buildings, and monitoring visitor access.
Key Responsibilities- Enforce college, local, and state rules and regulations
- Inspect assigned areas and record incidents
- Secure buildings and monitor visitor access
- Conduct foot and vehicular patrols, monitor surveillance cameras, and respond to emergencies
- Provide security at special events such as convocations, registration, and other college functions
- Considerable experience in a security or law enforcement environment required
- Campus Security Officer Certification or ability to obtain within 180 days
- Valid Virginia driver's license and satisfactory driving record
- Ability to maintain a positive, productive, cooperative attitude and serve as a team player
- Experience providing excellent customer service required
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel
