About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated individual to join our 0-25 social care service as an Early Help Open to Review Coordinator. As a key member of our team, you will work closely with disabled children and young people, their families, and other networks to provide support and inclusion to enable them to reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Visit children in their homes and schools to develop positive relationships and gain an understanding of their lived experiences.
  • Organize and chair review meetings, prepare and share reports in a timely and professional manner, and represent young people or the team/service at various internal and external meetings.
  • Work closely with agencies, providers, and family members to ensure the right level of multi-agency support is in place for children and families.
  • Review plans created by social workers and ensure they are producing good outcomes for children and families.
  • Gather and share information to inform reviews, assessments, and plans for children and families open to the team, ensuring the needs, voice, and views of the child remain central to all we do.

Requirements

  • NVQ level 3 or equivalent qualification related to the provision of services to children and young people.
  • Experience of working in a statutory setting with children, young people, and families.
  • Confident communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work in a team, build relationships with a range of people, and meet time frames to ensure children and families receive the support they need.
  • Awareness and experience of risk assessment and the ability to take appropriate action as a result of identified risks.
  • Knowledge of relevant childcare legislation, including child protection, regulations, and codes of practice.
