VAT Manager

TPF Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled VAT Manager to join a leading firm of chartered accountants in Maidstone. The successful candidate will work within the Indirect Tax team, providing a mixed VAT compliance and advisory service.
The ideal candidate will have extensive VAT compliance and/or advisory experience, with a strong background in indirect/VAT tax. They will be ACA/ACCA or ATT/CTA qualified or have equivalent experience.
The role offers a competitive salary of £60,000 - £75,000, depending on experience and background, as well as an extensive benefits package. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to progress in their career, with the possibility of becoming a director and beyond.
The firm provides a range of assurance and business services to a diverse client base, ranging from small businesses and start-ups to substantial international groups. The client portfolio includes businesses from various industry sectors, both private and publicly listed businesses, with a national remit but primarily focused on the South-East from their Kent Office.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to lead in specific sectors, dependent on their own areas of expertise and interests. They will also have the opportunity to gain exposure to marketing and business development, should they wish. The firm regularly provides client updates at physical events and webinars.
The role will report into the VAT Partner, and the successful candidate will oversee and support junior staff with their work and development. There is a significant amount of interaction with other lines of services (tax, audit, corporate finance etc).
The ideal candidate will be a team player, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. They will be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
