Deputy Head of Critical Care Services

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Deputy Head of Resident Doctors to join our team at The Princess Grace Hospital, a leading private healthcare provider in the UK.
This is an exceptional opportunity for a Critical Care/Anaesthetic trained individual with a passion for leadership to take on a key role in our Resident Doctors team. As Deputy Head, you will work clinically as the Resident Doctor expert and directly line manage a small team of Critical Care Doctors.
Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Supporting the day-to-day Critical Care Ward and ITU units, providing medical care from admission to discharge.
- Independently managing medical care of inpatients, including clerking new planned and unplanned admissions, conducting daily patient ward rounds, and responding to medical needs and emergencies.
- Striving for excellence, providing guidance on potential new ways of working, improving efficiencies, and leading Quality Improvement Projects to enhance Patient Satisfaction.
- Leading recruitment for new Resident Doctors for permanent and temporary vacancies, providing robust orientation and supervision.
To be successful in this role, you will need to have:
- Full registration with the General Medical Council (GMC).
- 5 years' Critical Care/Anaesthetic medical training.
- Experience in planning clinical workforce, providing clinical education, supervising or training trainee doctors, and managing a diverse workforce and associated employee matters.
