About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Maintenance Technician to join our team at Rehability UK. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our buildings and maintaining a safe and healthy environment for our residents.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual checks on maintenance equipment and systems to identify and report any issues or defects.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, including electrical checks, fire safety checks, and equipment maintenance, to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Respond to maintenance requests from residents and staff, and complete tasks in a timely and efficient manner.
- Collaborate with the Home Manager and Facilities Manager to prioritize maintenance tasks and allocate resources effectively.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including meter readings and equipment maintenance schedules.
- Ensure that all storage areas are clean and tidy, and that security is maintained.
- Undertake general redecoration works as instructed by the Home Manager.
- Assist in the general maintenance of the retirement apartments.
Requirements
- Strong knowledge of basic maintenance operations, including electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve maintenance issues in a timely and efficient manner.
- Good interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with residents, staff, and contractors.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with minimal supervision.
- Good problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make sound judgments.
