Role Overview

Southdowns Substance Misuse Employment Service in East Sussex supports individuals accessing structured treatment in their employment goals. As an Employment Specialist, you will work in partnership with Change Grow Live and be co-located within clinical teams, with some remote and community-based working.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage a caseload of clients in structured treatment for varied substance misuse issues to assist them in securing sustainable paid employment in line with their preferences.
• Deliver the Individual Placement and Support (IPS) model; providing person-centred guidance to clients, while building positive relationships with local employers to enable clients to move into suitable employment.
• Work as part of the clinical team in the substance misuse service, maintaining positive and integrated relationships, fostering a holistic approach to recovery through employment.

Requirements

• Exceptional communication skills, being reactive to the differing needs of the client and able to adapt your approach as appropriate.
• A rewarding role, with employment playing an important part in the path to recovery.
