About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Sourcing Manager to join our team at Amazon UK Services Ltd. - A10. As a key member of our Strategic IP Services (SIPS) team, you will be responsible for managing our relationships with telecommunications vendors, ensuring contract adherence, and driving cost optimization opportunities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage day-to-day interactions with a portfolio of telecommunications vendors, ensuring timely and effective communication.
  • Conduct formal monthly and quarterly business reviews (MBR/QBRs) with vendors and Amazon leadership to discuss performance, identify areas for improvement, and set strategic direction.
  • Generate and report vendor performance data against established Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), identifying trends and areas for optimization.
  • Identify key activities, set strategic direction, and establish potential development opportunities for the Global Vendor Management program.
  • Closely monitor vendor performance against contractual Service Level Agreements (SLAs), identifying any breaches or missed targets, and initiating the appropriate financial recourse mechanisms.
  • Lead efforts to root cause resolve any vendor performance anomalies or exceptions, working closely with internal incident management teams.
About the Team

Our Communications and Technology Services (CTS) organization is defined by two core teams: Strategic IP Services (SIPS) and Cabling Infrastructure Technology (CIT). Our mission is to transform telecommunications and cabling infrastructure services for IT Services (ITS) by relentlessly pursuing excellence in every aspect of our business.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as business, engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience in developing, negotiating, and executing business agreements, with a focus on telecommunications or a related industry.
  • Experience in a professional field or military, with a strong understanding of business and technical telecommunications.
  • Experience developing strategies that influence leadership decisions at the organizational level, with a focus on cost optimization and vendor management.
  • Experience managing programs across cross-functional teams, building processes, and coordinating release schedules.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience interpreting data and making business recommendations, with a focus on vendor performance and cost optimization.
  • Experience identifying, negotiating, and executing complex legal agreements, with a focus on telecommunications or a related industry.
