Lead Health and Safety Specialist

**Job Summary**

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Health and Safety Specialist to join our team at EGGER. As a key member of our Barony Health and Safety Department, you will be responsible for driving improvements in our health and safety performance and fostering a culture of safety within the organization.

**Key Responsibilities**

* Manage the Barony Health and Safety Department within agreed standards and budget, ensuring compliance with all relevant health and safety legislation and regulations.
* Proactively engage with employees to encourage safe behaviors and drive improvements, providing advice and support to site management and employees for risk assessment and hazard management.
* Develop and monitor KPIs, undertake statistical analysis of data to proactively identify trends and corrective actions, and develop, coordinate, and carry out Health and Safety compliance activities, including audits, inspections, and statutory monitoring activities.
* Develop and maintain the Health and Safety management system in anticipation of ISO 45001 certification, promoting and overseeing Health and Safety campaigns and best practices.

**Requirements**

* NEBOSH National Diploma in occupational health and safety or similar equivalent.
* NEBOSH National Certificate in Fire Safety and Risk Management (Preferred).
* NEBOSH Certificate in Process Safety (Preferred).
* Investigation training.
* Full driving license.
* Good working knowledge of all health and safety related legislation and ACOPs.
* Intermediate standard of IT skills and competent use of Microsoft Office.
