**About the Role**

Corecruitment is seeking an experienced Chairperson to guide the strategic direction and growth of a dynamic and rapidly expanding leisure business with over 20 locations across the UK.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in hospitality or leisure, with international experience and connections, as well as a deep understanding of corporate governance principles and strategic planning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide guidance and support to the board and executive team
  • Oversee the implementation of strategic plans and drive business growth
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, partners, and suppliers
  • Maintain a deep understanding of the leisure industry and stay up-to-date with industry trends and developments
  • Offer strategic guidance and support around 1 day per month, in addition to quarterly board meetings

Requirements:

  • Experienced executive within hospitality or leisure
  • Demonstrated experience in the international leisure industry, with a wealth of high-level network connections and a proven ability to leverage these relationships for business growth and expansion
  • Strong knowledge of corporate governance principles and experience in overseeing boards and executive teams
  • A deep understanding of strategic planning and execution, with a track record of driving growth and innovation
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with experience in managing relationships with a wide range of stakeholders
  • A genuine interest in the leisure industry and a commitment to enhancing customer experiences
